New Torsion Blades 690
Torsion Blades always reacts on the demands of their customers in order to remain a step ahead of competition. We have used the cold winter days to develop entirely new Torsion Blades for the 90 class helicopters. We are aware of the fact that most of the pilots nowadays maintain some kind of 3D style therefore the direction for development was very clear to us. Our first aim was to improve the energy efficiency of the blades in order to get the maximum performance out of the engine. The blades have a new innovative profile and first test flights of European top pilots have shown that our efforts have paid off. In manoeuvres with big collective and cyclic angles the engine lost much less revs than previously. Also we have decided to reduce the overall length of the blades from 710 mm to 690 mm. This modification has positively improved the agility of the helicopter and at the same time has further optimized energy requirements. Last but not least we have made the grip side of the blades thicker in order to improve the strength of the blades in rigid acrobatic manoeuvres. Tests have shown that this measure had no impact on the control precision of the blades so that you can still fly precise and controlled FAI programmes. We are convinced that we have succeeded with the improvements and we are therefore convinced that you will be satisfied with the new 690 Torsion Blades.

New 75 mm tail blades for the 500 class helicopters
New 75 mm tail blades for the 500 class helicopters Torsion Blades have developed a new generation of tail blades for the 500 class helicopters. The new tail blades are extremely hard but nevertheless very light. Due to that the helicopter will provide maximum control precision and a linear characteristic. By reducing the weight we were able to eliminate any vibrations at high revolution. Even with high rudder amplitudes there will be no distortion of the new blades.

New main rotor blades and ultra light paddles for the 250 class helicopters. Another innovation of Torsion Blades are new carbon blades and 3D flybar paddles for the 250 class helicopters. The carbon blades have a new profile that combines extreme aerodynamic effect with low power consumption. Due to that the control of the helicopter has been significantly improved, allowing stable hovering but also extreme pirouette rates. Also due to the new design we were able to greatly reduce susceptibility to vibrations. The ultra light paddles were designed specifically for 3D pilots, giving the helicopter agility and precision in any indoor site. Torsion Blades recommends for ambitious pilots the combination of Torsion Blades main blades and paddles, for FAI pilots we recommend to combine Torsion Blades main blades with the original paddles.

Torsion Blades are continuously developed and recently a number significant improvements were done. Among others the design of all types has been changed as well as a less expensive type of
glass fibre blades are new in the programme giving the pilot best parameters for standard acrobatic flight. The surface finish, the balancing and the mechanical resistance of the blades have been greatly improved.
The enhancement of the white surface of the blades improved the visibility and allows a better "reading" of the exact position of the helicopter. The carbon fibre blades can be differentiated from the glass fibre
blades in that the carbon blades have Petr Novotnys signature below the Torsion Blades logo, while the glass fibre blades are only having the logo. However, all tail rotor blades are made of carbon fibre.
